| How to Initiate Disputes with the Three Credit Reporting Agencies |

Online – click here to request a dispute online; need a TransUnion credit report/account Phone – call 1-800-916-8800 Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. ET. Before calling, make sure you have the necessary information:
Mail – Complete the Request for Investigation form and mail to: TransUnion Consumer Solutions P.O. Box 2000 Chester, PA 19022-2000 Expect a mailed response from TransUnion within 45 days.
Online – click here to request a dispute online; must have your Experian credit report number. You can check the status of your report online at any time. If you request online delivery at the time of your dispute, Experian will send you a notice via email that will alert you when the results of the dispute are ready to view online. Online – Initiate an investigation by entering your ZIP code here. From there, Equifax will provide you with the contact information of the affiliate office that manages your credit file. In contacting them, you must have the following information from your Equifax Credit Report – confirmation number (requested but not required), last name, street number, and last four digits of your Social Security number. Results of the investigation will be delivered either online or mailed to the address on your credit report (as you indicate your preference). Phone – Call the toll-free number listed at the bottom of your online Equifax Credit Report (should be 1-800-685-1111). In order to speak with a customer service representative, you must have your 10-digit confirmation number, which is located at the top of your Equifax Credit Report. The results of the investigation will be mailed to you. Mail – Send information (detail the items you are disputing) to: Equifax Information Services LLC P.O. Box 740256 Atlanta, GA 30374 The results of the investigation will be mailed to you. |
